Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy Featured on the Dr. Oz Show

"Life force may be the least understood force on this Earth."

How Popular is Magnetic Therapy becoming? On November 16,2011 The Doctor Oz show featured pulsed electromagnetic field therapy on his show.

He featured pain specialist Dr. James Dillard and family physician and magnetic therapy researcher Dr. William Pawluk.

These doctors discuss how magnetic fields affect the human body system and how it alters biochemical signals in damaged cells.

You can read more about what Dr. Oz has to say about pulsed electromagnetic field therapy here.

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy

PEMFs are different from static magnets. Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy exposes patients to magnetic fields at intervals whereas static magnets consists of a constant magnetic field exposure.

The article does mention static magnets. It says, "Stationary (or “static”), non-varying, magnetic fields from magnets have fixed strengths. They are used in mattresses, bracelets, knee wraps and the like. Most have very shallow penetration into the body, resulting in a very limited ability to affect deeper tissues, and they rarely treat all the cells of the body simultaneously."

There is a static magnet available on the market that penetrates into deeper tissue. It's a biaxial magnet. It is similar to a pulsed electromagnetic field but uses static magnets insteads.

I use it and can attest to its effectiveness.

Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy is a therapy that exposes the affected area with magnetic fields at specified intervals (pulsed). This type of therapy is not new. It has been around for more than 30 years. There are many published research in Europe, Asia and some in the United States.

PEMFs is a very effective alternative treatment for arthritis, pain relief, depression, wound healing, bone facture healing, and many more conditions.

Some of these studies include:

  • Using PEMFs on patients with Lou Gehrig's disease => A. Bellosi & R. Berget "Pulsed Magnetic Fields: A Glimmer of Hope for Patients Suffering from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis," Second World Congress for Electricity and Magnetism in Biology and Medicine, 8-13 June 1997, Bologna, Italy.

This study found that 3 patients experienced beneficial results from PEMFs. They were given a maximum of 75 sessions, 3x a week.
  • Pulsed Electromagnetic field therapy used on patients with bone fractures => M. Marcer, et al., "Results of Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields in Ununited Fractures after External Skeletal Fixation," Clin Orthop, (190), November 1984, pp 260-265.

This study showed a success rate of 73 perfect. There were 147 patients in this study that had fractures of the tibia, femur, and humerus. These patients did not benefit from surgery. Femur healed in 81 percent of patients and tibia healed in 75 percent of patients.

There are many more studies like this about PEMFs listed in Gary Null's book, "Healing with Magnets."

Have you used PEMFs?
