Nice to meet you! My name is Channary Houle. I thought I would introduce myself since it's hard to trust someone without knowing their face and who they are.
I immigrated to America when I was a little girl. My parents and I did not speak English when we arrived. I grew up in America and consider myself American, but my roots are Cambodian.
I was lucky enough to be able to watch and grow up learning about ancient Cambodian healing techniques, however I only have vague memories and I can't remember the English words for some of the ingredients.
I grew up initially in Connecticut and spent my childhood there. Connecticut is a lovely state but it's freezing cold during the winters so I moved further south.
My mom was lucky enough to survive the war and I was born in a refugee camp in Thailand. Feeling lucky that I was born into this world under those circumstances I felt I had to take advantage of it and explore this wondrous world.
I went to St. John's University after high school to study Criminal Justice. I only finished two years there when I transferred to Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.
I moved to Georgia in 2003 and did not complete my degree but in pursuit of education I attended massage school at Rising Spirit Institute of Natural Health.
I received my massage certifications in 2004 and never looked back. Massage therapy felt like home for me. It sees the human body as an energy being and that pain is physical and emotional as well.
Around middle school I can remember shooting pain running down my legs when I hit the pavement wrong. A few years ago I finally had x-rays completed of my spine and I found out that my coccyx is not curved correctly, most likely due to a fall I experienced as a child.
In high school I played soccer and due to repetitive strains of all the tendons surrounding my ankles, I can no longer run like I used to. This is because I never took care of myself and never let my body completely heal after an injury. I was one busy body. I never stood still for long.
I never learned as a child how to deal with stress well and it took a hold on my body. I've never have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia but due to my chronic pain, I'm sure I have it, although I do not let it hold me back.
I opened my own massage business and went next door to say hello to one of the local businesses. The owner there, whom we have become very good friends, told me his story about his experience with magnetic therapy and introduced me to another friend of his.
At first I didn't believe it. How could magnets help me? So I listened to his speech and was hesitant about it. I told him I wanted to check the research before I even thought about purchasing a product.
I went and researched the internet and grabbed some books about magnetic therapy and natural living. In the process I learned about Nicola Tesla, the Schumann Resonance, how nature responds to magnetic fields and electricity, and how we as human beings are effected by magnetic fields and electricity. I also learned about the effect magnetic fields have on water.
Then I asked myself, "Why does the medical community not accept this as a legitimate form of therapy?"
It didn't take much thinking to realize why it wasn't accepted. It was only within the last 20 years that the conventional medical community in America started to accept massage therapy as a form of therapy that is more helpful to the human body than prescription pills.
So logically why would they accept magnetic therapy as a legitimate form of therapy. Although the FDA says the products are safe, they do not want anyone to endorse or promote that they actually work. Side note -- I'll leave my personal opinions about the FDA and government to myself.
It was only recently that the National Institute of Health created a department called NCCAM - National Center of Complementary and Alternative Medicine. This department actually researches homeopathic and alternative therapies to use in conjunction with conventional medicine to lessen pain and ease discomfort in patients suffering from all types of diseases.
So why not endorse therapies that do not cause side effects and are cost effective? Because the pharmaceutical industry makes money by getting you hooked on their drugs. They lobby the FDA to approve their drugs and if the FDA approved of other forms of therapy then how would they make their money? And Political hacks get paid to keep the laws in favor of the pharmaceutical companies.
But, there are some great drugs out there you argue. Of course there are. Some drugs have changed the way society works, but remember with the drugs, we lose touch with our physical bodies and illnesses occur. There is no miracle pill that will make your condition go away.
When I was about 19 I suffered from severe migraine headaches. I went to the doctor to see if he could help. I was told I had tension headaches and needed to take muscle relaxers for it. At the time I didn't know that massage would relieve the tension, so I took the drugs. I was like the girl in the picture, always rubbing my shoulders and head and in pain.
It rendered me useless for 12 hours. I slept and went to work but couldn't really function at all. Eventually after a week I quit taking the drugs and dealt with the headaches.
A year later I learned how massage could help me and since then I have not taken any more muscle relaxers for migraine headaches.
I started using my magnetic field generator that I bought whenever I experienced pain or cramping and that has been such a blessing to me.
Now I spend my days at home with my family and my four years old son who is always fascinating. I don't let pain stop me from enjoying my life. I always find time to work, exercise, eat healthy, and research new alternative methods to aid the body in healing.
Most of my interests lies in trying to figure out what all my physical symptoms mean. In creating this site I have also have a whole new respect for natural living, how our bodies are created and how the Earth provides for us as well.
The other neat thing I love about this site is discovering the fascinating research by great minds who used technology to their advantage. They didn't listen to their colleagues when they laughed at them and said, "What magnet therapy? You must be joking." This site has been such a blessing to me.
I always worked odd jobs while I was in school. It paid the bills, but I have to say my first career is being a massage therapist. I love massage. I love giving them and I love teaching those who want to learn more about it. I love showing you some neat little techniques that I use to relieve pain.
My certification is in Neuromuscular therapy. What does that mean? It means I can manipulate soft tissue and trigger points to get them to release. I'm really good at what I do. Maybe it's because its part of who I am.
I find that most pain is soft tissue pain. Painkillers and muscle relaxers don't solve the problem with soft tissue pain. Sometimes you need to get into the muscle and retrain the cells to relax. It's not always easy but can be done.
I have training in Reflexology, pregnancy massage, Chinese Tui Na, acupressure, myofascial release, and Sandhi Abyanga massage and a few others.
I love this field so I immersed myself into it. I have also always been an energy intuitive all my life. I don't know how best to describe it. I know that when there is sadness, happiness, or secrets around me I can sense it through the energy fields.
I had a client recently pass away and the night it happened, I was in a store and I picked up a gift for her. However as I paid for it, the only thing that came to my mind that night was sadness because she would never get to see it. Later that week, her daughter calls me to tell me that she passed away. I was heartbroken because we had developed a close relationship, but I also sensed that her presence was no longer with me and made peace with that.
I made this site because when I started researching magnetic therapy I would only come across sites discussing how magnet therapy helped headaches or menstrual pain, or knee pain. I had to keep looking all over the web for further information about magnet therapy and certain conditions.
I also came across sites stating that magnetic therapy was a fraud. Those were sites that obviously were already biased or the author didn't do their research well enough, because the evidence is out there. These authors call anything that isn't related to conventional medicine a fraud. If only they knew the truth.
I created this site using a program called Site Build it. Site Build It is great because it provides everything that I need to create a site that was easy to put together with all the equipment necessary to build a successful site that can also provide me a nice income.
There have been so many successes with Site Build It that you can read the testimonials here:
